Our Shanghai team of devoted craft beer enthusiasts have deep industry knowledge and connections as well as extensive experience of living and working in China.
Originally from St. Petersburg, Nik moved to Shanghai after gaining a degree in Chinese history from St. Petersburg State University and spent 6 years working in supply management and international trade.
He is fluent in Russian, Chinese and English and is both an expert on Shanghai’s craft beer scene and a knowledgeable military history nerd. He can and will talk about either subject at great length.
Nik’s craft beer conversion arrived in the form of a bottle of North Coast Brewing Co.’s Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout.
Originally from Shanghai, Andy spent the last 21 years in California and is a fluent English and Chinese speaker.
He has a degree in Biotechnology and Managerial Economics from UC Davis and professional experience at Roche Pharma where he worked in cell culture fermentation and quality assurance.
In addition to his expertise in good manufacturing practices and quality control, he has years of experience planning and promoting events at UC Davis. Andy’s craft beer awakening came with his first bottle of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and when he is not in the ‘inclined glass’ position he can be found practicing and teaching yoga in Shanghai.
Our goal is to bring the best possible craft beer experiences to drinkers in China by acting as craft beer evangelists for breweries and valued partners for event organizers.
